Project Overview
Lek Yuen Shopping Centre is situated in Shatin district and enjoys the easy access to public transport network - MTR Shatin Station. To improve the trade mix and bring in more tenants with variety choices, the previous food and beverage building, retail building and oversized retail shops were re-partitioned into smaller shops with well planned trade mix. With the opening of all the newly introduced shops and trades, Lek Yuen Shopping Centre successfully transforms into a modernized and attractive shopping place for the nearby members of the community.

Turnaround Tactic
In light of improving the vertical transportation and air-conditioning systems of the shopping centre, Lek Yuen Shopping Centre becomes a more attractive and customer-oriented places for shopping and dining. Through the asset enhancement, the shopping area was refurbished in creating an air-conditioned new retail zone which is now fully accommodating a wide variety of shops such as hair salon, bakery, frozen meat shop etc. In addition, a pair of new escalators connecting two storeys also brings much convenience to our shoppers for traveling around our brand new shopping centre. In order to integrate with the new theme of shopping centre, some external wall areas have been renovated with graphics and advertisement lightboxes.

In general, the renovation works enhance the aesthetic appearance and circulation of both interior and exterior and also provide a new face with improved shopping ambience and facilities to all shoppers and residents nearby.

Shopping Centre Profile
Lek Yuen Shopping Centre was completed in 1976, and has a total floor area of approximately 100,000 square feet and about 430 car parking spaces. The shopping centre is situated near both the major private residential estates and public housing estates which provides a strong customer base for the centre.
