About the Project
The Lung Cheung Mall in Wong Tai Sin is one of The Link's key shopping centres. The opening of a walkway connecting the shopping centre to a tourist drop-off area has created a new catchment for tourist traffic. Retrofitted as part of the Asset Enhancement programme, the walkway is now aligned with retail outlets, while a popular coffee shop has been introduced into the atrium area. In addition, shops offering similar products or services have been clustered in single locations to facilitate shopping. The many popular retail and dining choices choices introduced at the shopping centre offer shoppers additional quality choices. This Asset Enhancement project has succeeded in transforming the Lung Cheung Mall into an exciting shopping destination for tourists and nearby residents.

Turnaround Tactic
To leverage its proximity to the Wong Tai Sin Temple, a new walkway has been strategically created at the Lung Cheung Mall. The once unused workshop space alongside has been converted into shops filled with exciting retail choices, while a loading area tailor-made for tourist buses has been created at the entrance of the walkway. This enhancement has turned a previously quiet corner into a fascinating galleria, attracting flows of tourists and boosting general pedestrian traffic through the shopping centre.

About the Shopping Centre
Adjacent to the Wong Tai Sin MTR Station and Wong Tai Sin Temple, one of Hong Kong's most popular tourist attractions, Lung Cheung Mall is conveniently located at the heart of an efficient transportation network and surrounded by clusters of residential properties. The shopping centre opened in 2001. The property has a floor area of approximately 270,000 square foot including a carpark that provides about 500 parking spaces.
