Lok Fu Shopping Centre is the largest shopping centre within The Link's portfolio. It comprises two wings - Centre I and Centre II which provide a total retail area of 36,000 square metres. Centre I was opened in 1985.
Initially designed as a large neighbourhood centre, it provides a total retail space of 21,700 square metres made up of 300 retail units including 200 market stalls. It is adjacent to the Lok Fu MTR Station and right on top of the Lok Fu Bus Terminus.
In addition to a large variety of retail and service shops, market stalls and cooked food stalls are also provided for customers. There are a semi-covered performance deck and an indoor exhibition hall specially built for holding community and promotional activities.
Centre II was opened in 1991 as an extension which provides an additional retail space of 14,300 square metres that features a large department store and other dining and retail facilities. Linked to Centre I by an elevated pedestrian deck, Centre II is a seven-storey building with an integrated traffic interchange on the ground floor and a direct pedestrian subway leading to the Lok Fu MTR Station.
The complex is also centrally air-conditioned. The highlight of the mall is a grand atrium with a ceiling height of 21 metres and a floor area of 400 square metres. Just outside the atrium is a spacious podium plaza of 3,100 square metres which is an ideal venue for promotional activities.
The Centre provides over 500 parking spaces for shoppers in three car parks. Free shuttle bus service is also provided to residents in the vicinity.
