Since 2016, Food Angel has been collecting surplus food at Link’s fresh markets and shopping centres to help prepare meal and food packs for the needy. The project targets to benefit 1.9 million people through recycling more than 600 tonnes of food waste each year. Revolving pop-up stores will also be set up at Link’s various shopping centres to promote food waste reduction and food donation to those in needs.
Surplus food are collected at 39 Link’s fresh markets, with food collection box available at 15 Link’s shopping centres below to collect unwanted dry food with an intact package and 4 weeks or more before expiration date.
