Cooked Food Stall

Introduction

Cooked food stalls are known as dai pai dong (大排檔) or “mushroom pavilions” in Hong Kong. They are a common sight at public housing estates, forming part of the tradition and dining culture of Hong Kong people.

Moreover, The Link REIT believes the cooked food stalls is important to maintain the local heritage and to provide causal dining services to residents.

A total 19 “mushroom pavilions” have been renovated since The Link REIT’s listing, including 2 in 2010/2011. They are located at Sun Chui and Chuk Yuen (South).
