Chuk Yuen Plaza
The asset enhancement of Chuk Yuen Plaza was completed in the first quarter of 2011, creating a new shopping experience for the public. A bamboo design theme was adopted and deployed in different areas, including on the atrium ceiling and external facade. The plaza and market areas were reconfigured with a pair of new escalators for better customer access to all floors. The enlarged atrium has created a sense of comfort and improved the visual connection by using a glazed balustrade. In addition to the internal enhancement, an enlarged podium was added to the newly renovated external area to provide a neighbourhood gathering place.
