Sustainability Excellence Award from the Hong Kong Corporate Governance Excellence Awards 2012
|
In December 2012, The Link was awarded the Sustainability Excellence Award at the Hong Kong Corporate Governance Excellence Awards 2012, organised by the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies and the Centre for Corporate Governance and Financial Policy of Hong Kong Baptist University. Inaugurated in 2007, the Awards are designed to encourage improvement in corporate governance among Hong Kong’s listed companies. The Sustainability Excellence Award is a newly created category that recognises a company’s commitment to, and achievement in, various areas of corporate sustainability. George Hongchoy (right), Chief Executive Officer, received the award on behalf of the company at the Gala Dinner.

HKQAA-HSBC CSR Advocate Mark
|
In November 2012, The Link was awarded the HKQAA-HSBC CSR Advocate Mark by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency for the fourth consecutive year in commendation of the company’s commitment and leadership in performing corporate social responsibilities. Eric Yau, General Manager – Corporate Finance (right), received the award on behalf of the company at the awards presentation ceremony.

HKICPA 2012 Best Corporate Governance Disclosure Awards
|
In November 2012, The Link was awarded both the Platinum Award and Significant Improvement Award in the Non-Hang Seng Index (Large Market Capitalisation) category at the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants 2012 Best Corporate Governance Disclosure Awards. The award scheme is regarded as a prestigious recognition by practitioners in the financial market, professional organisations, the public sector and players in the corporate governance field. 2012 HKMA Best Annual Reports Awards
|
In October 2012, The Link Real Estate Investment Trust 2012 Annual Report was named Bronze winner (General Category) of the 2012 Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) Best Annual Reports Awards. The awards encourage the publication of annual reports and accounts which are accurate, informative and well presented. Rosa Tsang (middle), Head of Finance, received the award on the company's behalf.

|
In August 2012, The Link Real Estate Investment Trust 2011 Annual Report won the Bronze Award of ARC Awards International 2012 in the Photography Category.

The Asset Triple A Investment Awards 2012
|
In August 2012, The Link REIT won the Property Investor of the Year Award under The Asset Triple A Investment Awards 2012 organised by The Asset Magazine. This is the first time that The Link REIT entered this award programme. Engaging users and providers of Asia’s financial services, The Asset Magazine has been serving the elite community of leading corporate and financial decision makers in Asia. The Asset Triple A Awards recognise excellence in the industry.

Tenth China Golden Awards for Excellence in Public Relations
|
In July 2012, The Link won the Silver Award in the category of “Community Relations” with the “Eco Terrace” project and the Nomination Award in the category of “Culture & Sports” with the “Bring Art to the Community” project at the Tenth China Golden Awards for Excellence in Public Relations. The awards recognised The Link’s excellent performance in planning and implementing the above projects. Andrew Cheung (first left), Media & Public Affairs Manager, received the award on behalf of the company in Beijing.

HKMA Quality Award 2012
|
In July 2012, The Link won the Bronze Award of the HKMA Quality Award. Modelled after the world-famous Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, the HKMA Quality Award recognises local companies that excel in overall management quality. George Hongchoy (middle), Chief Executive Officer, received the award on behalf of the company, later thanking colleagues for their devotion and hard work, saying that winning this award demonstrates that The Link’s efforts in pursuit of top quality management and services have been recognised.

Guinness World Records
|
In June 2012, The Link’s “World Largest Dog Obedience Class”, held during the highlight of the “Paws by the Sea” pet carnival at Stanley Plaza, won a Guinness World Record as the largest ever dog obedience class. This was the first world record set in Hong Kong involving dogs. A total of 354 dogs participated in the event, which took place in December 2011 and featured a professional dog trainer who taught participants to educate their dogs to complete two commands. BCI Asia FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2012
|
In June 2012, Tai Yuen Market, Hong Kong’s first fresh market revitalisation project, was awarded a Citation in Commercial Architecture as part of the BCI Asia FuturArc Green Leadership Award 2012. The project has turned a 30-year-old fresh market into a creative, hygienic and chic market with its traditions preserved. |

Asia’s Best Companies 2012
|
In May 2012, The Link REIT was ranked in six categories of the Hong Kong segment of the 12th annual poll of Asia’s Best Companies 2012 organised by FinanceAsia. The rankings included the top honour in “Most Committed to a Strong Dividend Policy”, second in “Best Managed Company”, second in “Best CEO”, second in “Best Investor Relations”, third in “Best Corporate Social Responsibility”, and fourth in “Best Corporate Governance”. The results were based on votes from 265 investors and analysts across Asia who evaluated companies based on several factors, including overall management, corporate governance, investor relations, corporate social responsibility and dividend policy.

| AsianInvestor Investment Performance Awards 2012 |
In May 2012, The Link won the “REITs, Asia Pacific” category of the AsianInvestor Investment Performance Awards 2012. The organiser, AsianInvestor, selected award winners through performance data provided by eVestment Alliance and Mercer, based on both nominal and risk-adjusted returns over one-, three- and five-year periods. Andy Cheung, Chief Financial Officer (right) and Hubert Chak, Director (Corporate Development) received the award on behalf of the company.

In May 2012, The Link was presented with the Distinguished Green Contribution Award by the U Green Awards for the second year in a row in recognition of its commitment to sustainable management of its portfolio of properties and its innovative promotion of green community engagement programmes over the course of the year. | 2011 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence |
In May 2012, The Link’s flagship property, Lok Fu Plaza, was awarded the Certificate of Merit of Property Management in the 2011 Hong Kong Awards for Environmental Excellence, in recognition of its efforts to promote environmental practices and management. | Caring Company 2007–2012 |
In May 2012, The Link was awarded the “Caring Company Logo” by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service for the fifth year in a row. The award recognises businesses that make outstanding contributions in three areas: Caring for the Community, Caring for Employees and Caring for the Environment. In April 2012, The Link won the "Real Estate Investment Trust" category at the Hong Kong Service Awards 2012 in recognition of our efforts in providing customers with quality shopping facilities, tenants with improved operating environments, and investors with value-adding returns. In April 2012, The Link's Interim Report 2011/12 won the Gold Award in the Interim Report Category at the Astrid Awards 2012, organised by MerComm, Inc. The awards aim to promote design as fundamental to communications and as a powerful tool for commercial success.

BEAM Platinum Standard for Stanley Plaza
|
In March 2012, Stanley Plaza was certified Platinum Standard by the Hong Kong Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM) Society in recognition of its high level of environmental performance in the asset enhancement programme. Many eco-friendly elements have been incorporated into the design and architecture of Stanley Plaza, which is the first property in The Link’s portfolio to be honoured with this accreditation.

| Mercury Excellence Awards 2011/12 |
In February 2012, The Link's Interim Report 2011/12 won the Gold Award in the Design Category of Interim Reports at the Mercury Excellence Awards 2011/12. Its design features a brush painting various colours at the same time, representing the fusion of tenants and The Link's pledge.
